Sundays are never quite the same without a dose of Top Gear and this week it was made even better when a section of the show, about some car, included an interview with typographer and graphic designer Margaret Calvert. Margaret is famed for designing the iconic  British road signage system and the ‘Transport’ font that has become common place through-out or nation. During the interview she  discusses how some of our most iconic road signs came to be and some of the issues that arose during the evolution of our road signage system.
