Christian Louboutin @ The Design Museum

Rachel visited the Design Museum this weekend to see the Christian Louboutin exhibition. Celebrating 20 years of designs and inspirations.

Louboutin’s inspiration came from watching the showgirls in Paris, which is clear to see in the decoration of the exhibition. The entrance was decorated in the style of the Crazy Horse, a lit up carousel slowly spun showcasing an array of different designs. We wanted them all! The finale was a hologram performance by Dita Von Teese.

It was really interesting to find out more about the designer – he was once landscape gardener! There were restrictions on taking photos but I managed to sneak a few, particularly of the typography on the walls.
