Valentines card marketing

We decided to put together a direct mail marketing piece to target areas of potential business growth and thought an innovative approach would stand out.

We constructed a series of ideas all hinging around the targeted release date of February 14th, Valentine’s Day, and split across four categories, created bespoke Valentine cards for each target group.

Our sectors were, existing cherished clients that we work with on a regular or continuous basis, clients that we had worked with in the past, but not so much recently, clients we really wanted to work with and hadn’t at that point and the design press.

A series of cards, each with a cryptic message and a TinyURL inside were printed, hand addressed in Valentine red envelopes and mailed out for arrival on the day.

Our unusual method seemed to work. Many clients commented that they had raised eyebrows within their office and that we had worked wonders on their status. It worked out pretty well for us too, resulting in five new commissions and a news feature in Design Week.
